This is some...Thank you for sharing your insights. This is something I am working on as well. I have often felt that my life has been full of suffering so I can help others. That means then, that I must share my own experiences so others know I truly do understand. However, when I do insert myself into the conversation it takes something away from the other who might need me just to listen. I do believe there is a time and place to share our experiences with others but discernment is also needed. Learning to listen better is something I am learning to treasure as it brings a more intimate presence to the experience for both myself and the one I am listening to.
